The Tenth Expert Conference of the Centre of Public Employment Services of Southeast European Countries (CPESSEC) named “The role and importance of career management skills for increasing employability level” took place on 12 April 2013 at the Hotel Avala Budva, Montenegro. At the Conference were present the representatives of nine CPESSEC public employment services, namely, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia and Turkey, and representatives of the Hungarian National Employment Service who were guests at the Conference. During the Conference all PES had presentations, as well as the guests from Hungary.

Having in view importance of professional development throughout the life, the participants of the conference discussed measures in place that enable successful access and stay at the labour market. Career management skills/CMS enable “management“ of the education process, of own learning, employment and career decisions during the whole life. Target groups are pupils at the primary and secondary schools, students and unemployed persons, employees and employers. Public employment services offer different types of these services adapted for target groups through regular activities, through the CIPS and external providers. Very important is connection with both education system, and economy. CMS stimulate development of other skills and their transformation into better jobs and better life; they shape the lives and manage the economy. All participating countries and Hungarian PES as a guest, had presentations about the role and importance of career management skills for increasing employability level.
